How to Find a Fantastic Christian Wife!

Here's one you guys might.. or might not want to try:)

Have you like me ever wondered how you are going to find a Christian wife, and not only that, find one that reflects the qualities you find prescribed as preferable in The Bible? Well I've been there too so I want to help out with a few simple ideas.

This may be one of the most important decisions you have to make in your life and it may decide whether you'll have a happy marriage and will also affect your children. There are no exact rules for everyone as God deals with us individually and we also live in different cultures where some of the less important matters differ. But here are some guidelines:

It may help to read Genesis 24 through carefully. It deals with someone who was looking for a bride for a young man and gives us some good principles to follow.

Look for a Christian wife that suits you. This sounds extremely obvious but more than 50% get it wrong! Do not marry a girl who is not a Christian. Here is an article on why you should not be dating non Christians and why it rarely produces the outcome you want. Read Genesis 24:3-4 as well as 2 Corinthians 6:14-15.
Pray that the Lord will show you the right woman (Genesis 24:12).
Having prayed you must now do the difficult thing - to trust the Lord that He will show you in some way who the right Christian girl to marry is (Genesis 24:7).
Look for a woman who is helpful and caring, kind and outward looking and not hell-bent on career as this will cause problem. Career is good but obsessively so - not good for a marriage (Genesis 24:17-22).
If possible (it's obvoulsy rare these days) it goes without saying that ideally you should look for a girl who has not slept with other men (Genesis 24:16). But then you should also see to it that you keep yourself from this kind of lifestyle that is considered extremely unhelpful (1 Thessalonians 4:38).
6. If you want to know where to find the right kind of partner be like a fisherman. When he wants to catch fish, he goes where the fish are, the river or lake or sea. If you want to find a Christian partner, you should go to church or the youth group where Christian people meet!!

Get prepared for marriage

Deal with as many issues you have in your life as you can while you are still single. If you have anger - deal with your anger - if you have resntment - forgive those that have wronged you. You cannot take this into your marriage and if you do it will cause problems!

If you pray that God will guide you in this and follow these guidelines you can be sure that God will lead you to the right woman of God or at least in the right direction if it is not your time to get married. Be patient - sometimes it takes God years to work out in you his maturing process so you are ready when the right Christian lady comes along. He has promised to lead us if we follow Him (Psalm 37:47).

You will know, by your love and respect for the person and by the fact that he/she returns that love and respect for you, that God has guided you. It is possible that some people may know at an early age who they will marry, but others do not. It is best these days to wait until after the age of 20 or 21for marriage, bacause you are more mature - 30 is a great age where you should have developed a good sense of self worth and know what suits you better than you did in the haste of your youth!:)

Meet new people

Are you always with the same people - the same ladies and girsl at church? Put yourself in a position to meet as many new people and hopefull new lady-friends as possible to up the chances of bumping into someone you like. This also means helping each other out. Be generous - mean - don't be mean - introduce each other to potential matches. Yes - we could all use help!

Ask someone out!

Hey men... did you know it's ok to ask a girl out?!!! Go on be brave an do the asking or at least make it easier for ladies to approach you if you havn't quite got the nerve. What have you got to lose except a bit of face. The truth is most women respect a man that has the guts to ask them out - especially if he does it in a nice way - i.e he doesn't try to use daft chat-up lines and impress her with nonsense. Just be confident in the Lord and go forth and ask her out casually for a coffee!

You've seen someone you like - are you going to sit and wait for them for ever? - no - start a conversation! This is a lot easier for women than it is for guys so be approachable girls!

OK... top tip for Christian men when approaching a nice Christian girl: forget every clever line you know. Just be natural, listen and ask questions. Here's some help on making good conversation.

be attractive & presentable - project confidence - a lesson from those in relationships!
Why do people in relationships often appear so attractive? A simple answer is their relaxed manner and apparent self assuredness (obviously helped by having a partner!) Take on these characteristics and you'll be winner! Someone who appears desperate is a sure turn off. At the same time - don't let any anxiety cause you to appear uninterested. The highest compliment you can pay someone is your undivided attention. But this may involve asking questions and yes, - listening to the answers!!
